JCDecaux will begin renewing the advertising environment in metro stations in spring 2026. As part of this renewal, new high-quality digital screens will be installed in the stations, creating a modern digital media environment. They will also provide brands with unprecedented impact in the urban heartbeat of the Helsinki metropolitan area, right in the path of the largest passenger flows.
The metro network is the transport backbone of the Helsinki region: in 2025, more than 78 million journeys were made by metro. Each week, around 1.5 million passengers board the metro, making it a significant part of everyday life in the capital region and of city residents’ daily mobility.
Metro stations offer advertisers an exclusive media environment where brands repeatedly meet an affluent and diverse audience at the heart of everyday life. Brands have the opportunity to reach consumers on their way to shopping, work, studies, hobbies and leisure activities at different times of the day – in an environment where high frequency and broad reach come together.
In the virtual world below the video, you can explore the Rautatientori, Kamppi and Matinkylä metro stations. You can place your own materials on the screens and see how they will look in the renewed metro station environments.
