When designing a dynamic OOH campaign, you may either choose to use premade SmartContent rules to target your normal video materials, or design a custom HTML5 page that displays your dynamic campaign.

Design your materials based on the guidelines presented below. If you need help planning your dynamic campaign materials, you are free to take advantage of JCDecaux's network of subcontractors. You kan hear more from our customer service.

NB. Dynamic OOH is unavailable at screens situated inside metros and trams.

1. HTML5 -implementation

Ensure the speed of your webpage.
  • The page has to load within three seconds, regardless of the location of the screen.
Design your materials based on the chosen impact zones:
  • Vertical formats:
    • 1920x1080 px
    • Tilted 90 degrees counter clockwise
  • Ratina, Tampere Highway:
    • 1920x1080 px
    • Tilted 90 degrees counter clockwise
  • Compass Rautatientori:
    • 1800 x 400 px
    • No tilting
  • Compass Ratina
    • Ratina-square: 3000x900 px
    • Galleria-square: 2700x975 px
    • No tilting
  • X-Track
    • 1920x1080 px
    • No tilting
  • Materials should be delivered 2 weeks before the start of the campaign

2. SmartContent -implementation:

The design of a dynamic SmartContent is largely the same as a regular digital OOH campaign. Just take into consideration the following additional guidelines:
Deliver instructions for the campaigns targeting:
  • For example: Material 1 only shows when its sunny outside AND the temperature is over 20 degrees celcisus. Otherwise, show material 2.
  • NB. some material has to run at all times. So please include a placeholder material, that the campaign defaults to when none of the rules match.
  • Available targeting rules:
    • Weather
    • Temperature
    • Location (area or select screens)
    • Time
    • Day of the week
    • Date
Naming the file:
  • Name the materials so they display the following information:
    • Advertiser
    • Advertised product/brand
    • Campaign week
    • Material resolution
MATERIAALIN TOIMITUS: Material delivery:
  • Materials should be delivered 2 weeks before the start of the campaign
  • All materials should be delivered at the same time.
    • If the same material is used in multiple locations, you only need to deliver it once.
Material delivery: Mediaportal
  • When delivering the material please include the following information:
    • Advertiser
    • Campaign time
    • Instructions for targeting
