Interiors are inside trams, metro trains and buses. In 2007 79.2 million bus journeys, 52.7 million tram journeys and 56.2 million metro journeys were made in Helsinki alone.
The typical user of public transport is female, but men also account for almost a third of passengers. Interior advertising reaches women under the age of 34 in particular and under-25s and students in general.
Although you might think that only non-car owners use public transport, almost a third of people who answered a recent survey carried out by Helsinki City Transport said that they also had use of a car.
